What are the symptoms of allergic diseases?

When symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, cough, asthma, itchy skin, rash and red eyes occur, people usually go to ENT, respiratory or dermatology departments, but often do not enter the allergic reactions department. In fact, many of these symptoms are caused by allergens, and the Department of Allergology specializes in the treatment of allergic diseases. In the allergy department, doctors help patients find allergens and provide specific treatment to reduce symptoms and control the disease. Compared with many clinical disciplines, allergology is a very young discipline. The first allergic reactions department in China was founded by Peking Union Medical College Hospital in 1956. At present, the department of allergic reactions is being established in tertiary hospitals across China. However, most medical schools still do not have a special course on allergic reactions, but only occupy a chapter in clinical immunology. As a result, many doctors are not aware of it, and the awareness of patients is even worse. There are many misconceptions about allergies: some people get pimples on their face when they eat chili peppers, thinking that this is an allergy, but in fact it is acne caused by poor diet. After drinking milk, the stomach is bloated, that is lactose intolerance. Some people claim to be allergic to alcohol, but that’s actually called intolerance. Allergic diseases are becoming more and more common in our lives, and the World Health Organization (WHO) has ranked allergic diseases as the fourth most common disease worldwide. However, there is no need to worry too much, as most allergic diseases can be effectively controlled and clinically cured through professional consultation and treatment.
