1. During cast immobilization, move the foot and fingers to promote blood circulation and prevent swelling. Raise the lower limb as much as possible every day for strength exercise to reduce muscle atrophy. You can walk on the ground with crutches. 2.After 4 weeks, the cast should be removed to below the knee joint. 3.After 7 weeks, start to remove the cast and practice ankle extension. Fill the plastic mineral water bottle with warm water and start roller exercises with the foot. At 4 or 8 weeks, the cast was removed and 3-3.5cm heel pads were worn to walk on the ground with crutches. It is better to put the heel pads on both feet together, otherwise the two feet are not the same height and it is not good to walk. The heel pad is made into a completely sloped shape as shown on the right side of the figure below (patient’s experience). The heel pad was made up of more than 10 layers of stepped cardboard and one layer was removed every 3 days. During this time, ankle mobility exercises were continued so that the dorsiflexion and plantarflexion mobility was close to normal. 5. After 3 months, start to overtake from slow walking to fast walking exercises, and gradually fast walking-jogging-fast running according to your own practice. Be sure to prevent accidental falls! Otherwise, the Achilles tendon rupture will occur again! 6, 3-4 months to start practicing the strength of the calf triceps, at first you can practice double heel, gradually transition to single-leg heel.
