How to determine whether a baby’s nose puffing and puffing is a cold or what causes it

There are physiological and pathological causes for the condition of nose puffing and sneezing in infants with poor breathing, which is mainly judged by its accompanying symptoms and empirical treatment. If there is also nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing, especially if there is a fever manifestation, it can be considered as a cause of cold. If dyspnea is accompanied by symptoms of low fever, be alert to the presence of pathological causes such as pediatric pneumonia or bronchial inflammation. There may also be physiological reasons for infants’ breathlessness, and the common physiological reason is that the nasal mucosa of infants is delicate. If the air in the room is too dry and there are more floating dust substances, it is easy to form boogers, which can block the nostrils and cause breathing problems. If you find that your baby is not breathing well and has nasal secretions such as boogers blocking the nasal cavity, use a cotton swab dipped in light saline to moisten the boogers, soften them and then gently remove them. If the symptoms do not improve after eliminating such factors, it is recommended to take the infant to the pediatrician of the hospital for timely consultation.
