1. After admission to the hospital, you will first need to undergo some tests, including routine blood, urine, stool, liver and kidney function, ECG, chest CT, lung function, cardiac ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound if necessary. 2. After completing the tests, your doctor will assess the severity of your funnel chest and advise you on a treatment plan that takes into account your specific condition. If surgical treatment is required, we will measure a series of data on your chest and customize the right size surgical device for you. The examination and evaluation process may take about 3 days. 3. We will schedule your surgery as soon as possible after the preparation work is completed. Generally, you have to sign a consent form for the surgery one day before the surgery (for those who are under 18 years old, please have a legal representative sign the consent form for the surgery). The day before the surgery, the patient will be prohibited from eating and drinking from 10:00 p.m. The next day, the patient will not eat breakfast, and will remain fasting without any food or drink, including boiled water. 4. On the day of surgery, the patient will be sent to the operating room in order, and the anesthesiologist will first administer general anesthesia. The procedure will take about 1 hour, but may take more than 2 hours including the anesthesia preparation time. If there are other special circumstances, the time will be extended as appropriate. 5. After the surgery is completed you will be admitted to the ICU ward. There are all kinds of advanced medical instruments and ICU doctors and nurses closely monitor various conditions of your body. You will be in the ICU for 2-3 days. 6. After your condition is stabilized, you will be transferred to a general ward. After surgery you usually have to lie flat in bed for 3-5 days. You will need to receive some treatment such as anti-infection and pain relief after surgery. The stitches are usually removed 7-10 days after surgery. If there is a delay in wound healing, you may need to change the medication for a longer period of time.
