What to do about moles in children

Children’s nevus generally refers to pigmented nevus, most of which are benign, and can be relieved by temporary observation, physical therapy or surgical excision. 1. Temporary observation: since most of the nevi are benign, they do not need special treatment, especially for children, if there is no other obvious symptom, they can be temporarily observed and left untreated. 2. Physical therapy: the common physical therapy for benign nevi with diameter less than 3cm is laser therapy. 3. Surgical excision: if the nevus occurs in risky areas such as mucous membranes, palm and plantar areas, and if the size of the nevus is large, surgical excision is recommended, but it may leave a scar. If nevus symptoms appear, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for early and regular treatment.
