”I had adenomyosis, and I was advised locally to do Hepatomile, and three months after I did it, I had a relapse”, this is the self-report of a patient who came to see me not long ago. In fact, many of the patients that I see have had various treatments before they came to me, but later found that the treatment was not effective, so they started to look for medicine again and finally found me. The Hepatomile is an ultrasound focusing technique that converts ultrasound into heat energy and then focuses on the target area, that is, the center of adenomyosis, causing the tissue in this area to heat up rapidly, producing a 0.6mm thermal injury and thus reducing the area of the lesion. This technique, originally used in the treatment of liver tumors, is not necessarily effective in the treatment of adenomyosis. The reason is that adenomyosis lesions are more diffuse and the size of the lesions is larger. The treatment like the Hibiscus does not guarantee that all the lesions are affected. If we compare the lesions of adenomyosis to a mountain, then the Helio knife treatment is equivalent to digging a hole in the mountain. It only removes a little bit of the lesion, while the whole mountain of lesions remains untouched. So this kind of treatment method, can not remove the lesion clean, far from the purpose of treating adenomyosis. Because the lesions are not removed cleanly, that is why, later on, the recurrence is rapid. In my opinion, this method of treatment for adenomyosis, on the one hand, cost the patient a lot of time, manpower and financial resources, on the other hand, soon after the operation relapsed, the patient continued to seek medical advice, but also lost a lot of time and energy, both physically and mentally, caused a certain impact on the patient. Adenomyosis is a progressive aggravation process, many women will experience increasingly severe menstrual pain, even severe anemia, and a slowly enlarging uterus. In adenomyosis, if the menstrual pain is not particularly severe and can be tolerated, there is no need to do much intervention. If the pain is unbearable, you can take some painkillers to provide temporary relief. At a later stage, if the painkillers do not work anymore and affect your life, then further treatment should be considered. Some patients with adenomyosis have unbearable pain that affects not only their daily lives but also their work. Because of the discomfort, she often takes time off at work, causing her colleagues to be reluctant to work with her. She suffers physically and is particularly aggravated psychologically. The surgical treatment of adenomyosis is divided into radical treatment and conservative treatment, radical treatment is total excision of the uterus, conservative treatment has lesion reduction, lesion removal, ablation and so on. Our special research is on focal excision of adenomyosis, which preserves the uterus and only eliminates the foci. On the one hand, the uterus is an important female organ and its role is indispensable. On the other hand, many women do not want to have their uterus removed, so our focal excision procedure preserves the uterus without causing psychological damage to women. Adenomyosis is known as the “undead cancer”, which has a great impact on women. We hope that all adenomyosis patients can find the most suitable treatment for themselves and harvest their health as soon as possible.
