Chest tightness in the recovery period of cerebral infarction may be caused by lung infection, decline in cardiopulmonary function, pulmonary embolism, respiratory center disorder and other reasons.
1. Lung infection: patients with cerebral infarction often choke and cough, and the food may enter into the trachea by mistake, which may cause lung infection and chest tightness.
2. Decline in cardiopulmonary function: patients with cerebral infarction need to stay in bed for a long time, which will lead to a decline in cardiac function and aggravation of chronic diseases, thus resulting in chest tightness and shortness of breath.
3. Pulmonary embolism: because patients with cerebral infarction need to stay in bed for a long time, it will cause deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs, and if the thrombus is dislodged, it will form an embolus, and with the blood flowing to the lungs, it will cause pulmonary embolism, which will lead to chest tightness and shortness of breath.
4. Disorders of respiratory center: Cerebral infarction patients’ blood supply to the brain is impaired, which will affect the function of respiratory center and cause abnormal movement of respiratory muscles, resulting in relative hypoxia of the body and chest tightness.
It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination to find out the cause and timely symptomatic treatment.
