Superficial phlebitis of the lower extremities is characterized by segmental stiff cords or nodules in the travel area of a superficial vein, with redness, swelling, heat and pain in the acute phase, with obvious pressure pain, mostly without systemic symptoms, but in severe cases with fever, general malaise, slightly elevated blood picture or no significant elevation, and a venous ultrasound or venography of the lower extremities showing smooth flow in the deep veins. At present, the disease has a tendency to be more frequent, sometimes it is easy to be confused with dandruff, the key difference is that the disease has obvious stripes, hard texture, and travels along superficial veins, and the disease is mostly combined with varicose veins. If the acute stage combined with perivascular inflammation, it is more difficult to distinguish from dermatophytosis, and it is also difficult for doctors who do not know this disease to distinguish. In the acute stage, conservative treatment is the common choice of doctors, but the efficacy is not good, and it is easy to become chronic, resulting in thrombotic masses that are stubborn and difficult to disappear, and more likely to recur. The treatment is mainly surgical, and the acute stage is not a contraindication to surgery. We adopt a combination of Chinese and Western medicine to treat the thrombus with short-term preoperative treatment (preoperative anti-inflammatory and blood-activating drugs + golden ointment applied externally), which can be operated.
