Pemphigoid aspergillosis occurs in people over 60 years of age. It is characterized by the appearance of blisters and blisters with tense walls on top of erythema, most commonly on the hands, feet, and extremities, but can also spread throughout the body; it is accompanied by itching of varying degrees. The course of the disease is long, chronic and recurrent. The mortality rate of the disease reported in Europe and the United States ranges from 12% to 69%, but the Department of Dermatology of Ruijin Hospital found from a large number of clinical data over a long period of time that many patients often die not from the disease itself, but from the side effects of glucocorticoids and so on, because the disease is more prevalent in the elderly, and most of them have hypertension, diabetes, heart, brain and other organ pathologies. Since 2006, for the first time in China, the treatment of herpetiform aspergillosis has been reformed by replacing the traditional oral or intravenous injection of high-dose glucocorticoids with topical hormone therapy, which has significantly reduced the occurrence of fatal complications and significantly improved the survival rate of patients.
