Is edema better with more diuretics?

Not necessarily. In general, the use of diuretics to reduce the fluid load in the body can reduce oedema caused by water and sodium retention. However, the more you diuretic, the better. Excessive diuresis can easily lead to water-electrolyte disturbances and even life-threatening hypokalaemia. Excessive diuresis may also lead to excessive protein loss, which may further aggravate the condition. Therefore, diuresis should be appropriate, and attention should be paid to monitoring water and electrolytes, as well as protein supplementation.
