To protect women’s health and improve the quality of the population, the State implements the “Reproductive Tract Infection Prevention and Control Project”: The Reproductive Tract Infection (RTI) Comprehensive Prevention and Control Demonstration Project is one of the “Three Major Projects” being organized and implemented by the National Family Planning Commission. Reproductive health is an important element of the Programme of Action of the United Nations Conference on Population and Development held in Cairo in September 1994, and there is a wide consensus worldwide on the importance of improving the reproductive health of the general public. What is included in reproductive tract infections: Common reproductive tract infections include trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginitis, candida vaginitis, and cervicitis. Current status of RTI at home and abroad: World Health Organization (WHO): The number of new RTI and curable STI cases (15-49) reaches more than 500 million each year. Common Reproductive Tract Infections (RTI) in China: According to the results provided by the RTI prevention and treatment project in Beijing and Jiangsu in the past two years, the prevalence rate of common RTI is as high as about 50%, that is, one out of every two women suffers from common RTI to varying degrees.
