The age at which a child’s milk allergy usually clears up cannot be generalized and is mostly related to the child’s constitution. Milk allergy is one of the most common food allergies in childhood and can lead to a range of allergic symptoms such as bloating, diarrhea, vomiting and skin rashes. However, as the child gets older, the allergy to milk may gradually decrease or even disappear, and the child’s tolerance to milk can usually be re-evaluated every 6 months. However, since every child is different, some allergies may disappear around the age of 3, but some children may have a lifelong allergy to milk. Therefore, whether and how old a child can get well from milk allergy varies from person to person. If it is determined by a doctor that your child is allergic to milk, you should avoid milk and its products for the rest of your life to prevent triggering allergic symptoms. If the allergy does not resolve on its own within a short period of time, the child should seek medical attention.
