What’s with the croupy breathing?

The causes of croup include bronchitis, asthma and heart failure, etc. It is recommended to consult a doctor to clarify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
1. Inflammatory factors of bronchial inflammation stimulate the airway to secrete a large amount of secretions, which are not easy to be discharged when lying down, causing the narrowing of the airway and producing a rumbling sound.
2. Asthma patients will cause vagus nerve excitation when lying down, which will aggravate the spasm of the bronchial symptoms and produce a wide range of rales.
3. Heart failure patients lying down will aggravate the stagnation of the pulmonary circulation, patients with severe hypoxia will be secondary to the spasm of the small airways and thus produce rales.
Croup is a pathologic breath sound produced by airflow through the spastic narrowed bronchial tubes in the lungs. Therefore, it is recommended to consult a doctor to identify the cause of croup and receive standardized treatment.
