What is the cause of non-menstrual bleeding as brown discharge

Normal female discharge is clear and sticky. If the discharge is brown, then it suggests abnormalities in the female reproductive system. Generally, there are several reasons for brown discharge during non-menstrual periods: i. Vaginal inflammation. When a woman suffers from severe vaginal inflammation, there can be congestion and edema of the vaginal mucosa epithelium. After mild activity, a small amount of vaginal bleeding occurs and brown discharge is formed. II. Ectopic cervical columnar epithelium. Under the stimulation of local inflammation of the cervix, some women may develop ectopic cervical columnar epithelium. The columnar epithelium is easy to bleed when touched, so some women may show brown vaginal discharge. Third, cervical lesion. One of the symptoms of cervical precancer or early cervical cancer is brown vaginal discharge. Therefore, it is recommended that women should have regular gynecological checkups to prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer. Fourth, uterine lesions. When suffering from endometrial polyps, submucosal fibroids and other lesions, patients may have brown discharge in the intermenstrual period. To sum up, after the appearance of brown discharge, it is recommended that the patient should consult a local hospital to conduct relevant examination to clarify the cause and take symptomatic treatment according to the cause.
