There is no best way to remove the dark nevus (medically known as melanocytic nevus) on the face. Generally, it is necessary to reasonably choose surgical treatment, laser treatment and other treatment modes according to the condition, patient’s needs and so on, to carry out the treatment.
1. Surgical treatment: If the nevus is relatively large, irregular in shape and unclear in boundary, surgical treatment, such as surgical excision and suture, surgical excision combined with autologous skin flap transfer to repair the defect, etc., is needed to remove the melanocytic nevus.
2. Laser treatment: if the melanocytic nevus is small, the patient has non-keloid body and no tendency of malignant change, carbon dioxide laser treatment can be taken to remove the melanocytic nevus.
