1. Corneal donation must be done after the death of the donor, and corneas cannot be donated alive during life. 2. Corneal donation is gratuitous and the donor himself/herself and his/her family and friends will not receive any reimbursement. 3. Corneal donation must be voluntary and free of charge for the donor (with the consent of the minor’s legal guardian), and no one may be forced to donate. 4, corneal donors need to fill out the “free donor cornea (ball) voluntary application consent form”; if for any reason the donor can not fill out personally, you can also ask relatives or friends to fill out on your behalf, but the donor must be stamped (or handprint). 5, cornea donor should obtain the consent of relatives, relatives should sign the application, registration; if the family does not agree and the donor insists on donating cornea after death, then the relevant legal procedures must be carried out. 6, certain infectious diseases such as AIDS, syphilis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, malignant tumors have invaded the eye tissue and leukemia, certain eye diseases such as malignant tumors of the anterior segment, retinoblastoma, viral keratitis, corneal degeneration or scarring, iridocyclitis, septic endophthalmitis, and a history of internal eye surgery and refractive surgery, can not donate eye (ball) cornea. 7. When the donor is seriously ill, the family should promptly notify the eye bank, which will arrange for blood sample testing and other work to ensure the quality of donation. 8, after the death of the donor, the family must be the first time to notify the eye bank to remove the eye (ball) cornea, and issue a death certificate, the eye bank doctors need to remove the eye (ball) cornea within the specified time, to complete the donor’s wishes.
