After facial sutures, the sutures are usually removed 4-5 days after surgery, but there are individual differences, related to factors such as the patient’s physical condition and the condition of the wound. If the patient has good wound healing of the sutures and no redness, swelling, heat, pain, oozing and other adverse conditions, the sutures can be removed normally, usually 4-5 can be removed. In addition, adolescent patients have a faster metabolism and better health, so the time for suture removal can be appropriately shortened according to the patient’s specific situation. However, elderly, malnourished and diabetic patients may have their sutures removed for a longer period of time due to their poorer physical condition. If the patient has more serious conditions such as pus, fluid, hematoma, redness and swelling in the wound, the sutures can be partially or even completely removed to further treat the wound. Patients should pay close attention to observe the condition of their wounds and can eat more fruits rich in vitamins, while going to bed early and waking up early to maintain a regular routine.
