What should I look for when I have a pacemaker?

  1. For one month after the operation, avoid large body turning activities, abduction and external rotation, violent coughing and deep breathing on the limb with the pacemaker. 2. Learn to measure your own pulse twice a day and keep records. The pulse should be counted in a quiet state (such as in the morning before waking up). 3.Avoid strong magnetic fields, high-voltage electricity, and TV stations. If you get into this place by mistake and become dizzy, leave the place quickly. 4. Follow up regularly, preferably once every 3-6 months, or once a month or once a week in the later stages of the expected life of the permanent pacemaker. 5. Pacemaker cards should be carried when going out for use in case of accidents. 6. Eat a light, easily digestible diet with nutritious vegetables and fruits, and do not have full meals. Quit smoking and drinking. 7. Do not rub the skin where the pacemaker is buried when bathing, do not use electric heaters for bathing, and the bathing time should be 10-20 minutes. 8. Exercise should be done according to your ability, and you should not choose strenuous exercise.
