The 38th week of pregnancy belongs to the late stage of pregnancy, and the baby has already developed in the uterine cavity, the hardness and tightness of the stomach during this period is considered to be the performance of contractions, including pseudo contractions and true contractions, the key to distinguish between the two is whether the contractions are regular. Regular contractions generally mean that the interval between each contraction is 2-3 minutes, the contraction lasts for more than 30 seconds and the pain is clear. Pseudocontractions occur at irregular intervals and are strong and weak at times. If there are regular contractions, it means that the contractions will be more frequent and accompanied by shortening of the cervical canal, and the pregnant woman needs to be admitted to the hospital in time for delivery. After going to the hospital, the following tests should be done: 1. Fetal heart monitoring: to detect contractions and whether the fetal heart is responding well. If the fetal heart accelerates well, it means that the baby is active in the uterine cavity. If the fetal heart decelerates late or decelerates variably, it is considered that acute intrauterine distress may occur, so the pregnant woman should immediately lie on the left side and take oxygen, and then recheck the fetal heart monitoring. If the fetal heartbeat is still bad after the review, emergency cesarean section is needed to terminate the pregnancy. 2. measure blood pressure: under normal circumstances, the blood pressure of pregnant women should be lower than 140/90mmHg. 3. ultrasound: initially assess the size of the fetus and the state of the cervical canal of the pregnant woman to determine whether there are indications for labor. The volume of amniotic fluid, uterine height and abdominal circumference are also measured to assess whether the pregnant woman can deliver vaginally.
