How long does it take for adenomyosis to become cancerous?

Adenomyosis is a benign lesion and has little chance of becoming cancerous. Adenomyosis refers to the presence of endometrial glands and mesenchyme in the myometrium and is characterized by increased menstrual flow, prolonged periods and progressively worse dysmenorrhea, which means that the symptoms may worsen progressively. If the patient is not in obvious discomfort and has no need for fertility, daily observation of changes in the condition and follow-up with medical advice is sufficient. In addition, some women can alleviate the progression of the disease through pregnancy. However, it is important to note that adenomyosis may cause secondary infertility or mid- to late-stage miscarriage, which can seriously affect the fertility of patients in their reproductive years. Therefore, if you have obvious discomfort or have fertility needs, it is recommended that you promptly visit the gynecology department of the hospital to improve the relevant tests to clarify the diagnosis and then actively treat the disease.
