What are the causes of abdominal pain in women?

Many patients are seen clinically because of abdominal pain during menstruation, and gradually worsen, and accompanied by increased menstrual flow, anemia, these patients range in age from 30 to 50 years old, and even in their 20s. This is a disease that is increasing in incidence year by year, and we clinically call it adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is caused by the active endometrium entering the myometrium, which gradually increases the size of the uterus, generally thickening of the posterior wall is common, with the gradual increase in the size of the uterus, the area of the endometrium increases, the volume of menstruation increases, and most patients are accompanied by anemia. These two prominent manifestations seriously affect the quality of life of patients and even prevent them from working normally. Many patients have their uterus removed because of severe dysmenorrhea, anemia, and uterine enlargement, and some patients are not old enough to be 40 years old, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Recently, our department has carried out conservative surgery for adenomyosis, mainly for those patients whose uterus exceeds the size of a 3-month pregnancy, who are not suitable for conservative treatment, and who wish to preserve their uterus. The procedure is performed by removing the thickened adenomyosis tissue from the anterior and posterior walls of the uterus, leaving 0.5 cm under the endometrium and 0.5 cm under the plasma membrane, and placing mannitol in the uterine cavity after surgery.
