Chest tightness and chest pain may be related to a variety of etiologic factors and may be a pre-symptomatic manifestation of a variety of diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, and surgical disease. 1. Cardiovascular diseases. Common cardiac diseases such as angina pectoris, chronic myocardial insufficiency, myocardial infarction and so on, may lead to abnormal circulatory function, chest tightness, chest pain and other symptoms. 2. Respiratory diseases. If the symptoms of chest tightness and chest pain are accompanied by dyspnea, cough, sputum or asthma, it should be considered to be related to respiratory diseases, such as chronic pneumonia, tuberculosis or lung cancer. 3.
