Are uterine polyps minor or major surgery

There are cervical polyps and endometrial polyps, and none of the procedures to remove them are considered major surgery. Cervical polyp surgery is minor and can usually be performed in an outpatient operating room. After the vagina is opened with a speculum, the root of the cervical polyp is clamped with hemostatic forceps, and the procedure is finished when it is removed with an electric knife and then electrocoagulated to stop the bleeding. Endometrial polyps can be removed by curettage or hysteroscopy. Curettage is relatively simple and hysteroscopic surgery is a little more complex in operation, but both procedures require uterine maneuvers and neither is considered major surgery. The tissue removed after the surgery needs to be examined pathologically to clarify the nature of the lesion. After the operation, you still need to rest, keep the vulva clean, observe the vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain, and if there is any abnormality, consult a doctor in time.
