How are subcutaneous lipomas treated?

Subcutaneous lipoma is a common kind of benign tumor on the body surface, which is usually treated by surgery. Some simple tests such as blood, urine routine and electrocardiogram should be performed before the surgery. After the surgery, it is recommended that the excised lipoma should undergo pathological examination to rule out the possibility of malignant transformation into liposarcoma in a very small number of patients. Regular outpatient follow-up observation is required after surgery to rule out the possibility of sudden onset.
