What is the prevention and treatment of tinea pedis?

  In summer, the sun is getting stronger, the weather is hot and humid, and there are more and more patients with tinea pedis. Tinea pedis is a skin disease caused by fungal infection, and is more common in people with sweaty feet, obese people who like to wear non-breathable shoes, and diabetic patients, and is somewhat contagious, commonly known as “athlete’s foot”, “foot dampness”, and “rotten feet It is commonly known as “athlete’s foot,” “foot dampness,” and “rotten feet.  There are three types of tinea pedis according to clinical characteristics: 1. Blister type: It occurs between the toes, on the plantar and lateral edges of the feet. The lesions start out as deep, pinpoint-sized blisters with clarified herpes that do not break easily. The blisters are scattered or clustered, and after tearing away the walls of the blisters, they reveal a honeycomb-like base and a bright red vesicular surface with pronounced itching.  2, hyperkeratosis type: flaky erythema, local dryness, keratin thickening, surface roughness, flaking, deepening texture, prone to cracking and bleeding. Generally no pruritus or slight itching. When there is chapping, pain.  3, impregnated erosion type: most commonly found in the toe seam, especially between the 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th toe. The skin is white with impregnation, the base is moist and flushed, revealing a red erosion surface, even fissures, accompanied by exudate, with varying degrees of itching, sometimes emitting a foul odor.  Prevention: Tinea pedis should be treated promptly and thoroughly, by visiting a hospital where a doctor can provide appropriate treatment according to the specific case. Pay attention to personal and household hygiene, and avoid sharing towels, slippers, bath tubs, footbaths, and other household items. Wear loose and comfortable shoes and socks with good ventilation to keep your feet dry. It is better to wear three pairs of shoes in rotation and put the shoes you don’t wear on the balcony to dry to keep them dry. Do not use drugs indiscriminately, and do not use skin ease ointment, dermatitis and other hormonal ointments to treat tinea pedis, so as not to aggravate the condition.
