Treatment of Early Liver Fibrosis

Early pulmonary fibrosis treatments include non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatments. 1 Non-pharmacologic treatment mainly includes smoking cessation, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary rehabilitation. Smoking is associated with the development of pulmonary fibrosis, so it is necessary to persuade patients to quit smoking, in addition, quiet state combined with hypoxemia patients are recommended to give a long course of oxygen therapy, and to encourage patients to accept pulmonary rehabilitation therapy, which can alleviate the symptoms of patients and delay the development of the disease. 2 Pharmacologic treatment includes pirfenidone, nidanib, cephalosporin, glucocorticoids, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine and so on. Pirfenidone and nidaneb inhibit the proliferation of fibroblasts through different targets, thus inhibiting pulmonary fibrosis. If the patient is combined with lung infection, cephalosporin can be used for treatment, and glucocorticoid treatment is given to those with severe infection as appropriate. In addition, some immunosuppressants such as cyclophosphamide and cyclosporine can be used for treatment to slow down the process of pulmonary fibrosis. Pulmonary fibrosis is an irreversible process, early treatment can maximize the delay in the development of the patient’s condition. It is recommended that patients with the above conditions should go to regular hospitals in a timely manner, and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors to avoid delaying the condition.
