The earlier the sudden deafness is treated, the better

A number of patients were waiting to be examined in the ear, nose and throat clinic. On a patient registration list, a large percentage of patients over 30 years old were seen, while the youngest patient was as young as 13 years old. “Judging from the consultations, patients are becoming increasingly younger.” Wearing headphones all day long, boiling telephone porridge, bar entertainment …… bad modern lifestyle, so that young people, especially teenagers, hearing is increasingly infringed. At the same time, overwork and work pressure, can also become damage to the young and middle-aged white-collar hearing killer. All day long on the computer, cervical spine injury deaf 25-year-old Miss Le is an absolute “house” woman, doing financial work she needs to work on the computer to do reports, a return home from work, a quick dinner, she immediately sat in front of the computer, online reading novels, computers, Taobao to buy things, and a while ago to get up in the middle of the night to steal vegetables. Every day is to get until midnight to get offline. But in the last month or two, Miss Le found herself every morning after waking up, the neck is sore, as if there is a feeling of pillow, she thought she was always on the computer, maybe the cervical spine is not so good. Not long after that, she had tinnitus in her left ear, thought it was a fire, and did not pay attention. Until one morning after getting up, Ms. Le found that her left ear completely “strike”, can not hear any sound. After a hearing check and related consultation, the doctor recommended that she go for a cervical X-ray. The examination revealed that her cervical spine was strained and her small joints were misaligned, and it was determined that Ms. Le’s deafness might be caused by cervical spondylosis of cervical origin. It was recommended that in addition to comprehensive treatment for sudden deafness, corresponding treatment measures should be taken for the cervical spine. The principle of “sudden deafness” caused by cervical spondylosis is that the internal and external balance of the spine is disrupted and the anatomical position of the cervical spine is changed, which stimulates or compresses the cervical sympathetic nerve and interferes with the physiological function of the inner ear and produces tinnitus; the misalignment of the small joints stimulates or compresses the vertebral artery and reflexively causes spasm of the vertebral artery. Reflexively, it causes spasm of the vertebral artery and leads to insufficient blood supply to the vertebrobasilar artery, causing a decrease in blood flow to the internal auditory artery and triggering sudden deafness. Due to poor lifestyle, more and more young people are having cervical spine problems like Ms. Le, and this has led to a series of hearing problems such as tinnitus and sudden deafness, and the trend is getting younger every year. Experts also say that the earlier the sudden deafness is treated, the better the results. About 80 percent of patients who are treated within a week of onset can recover their hearing, while treatment after two weeks of onset is less effective. If sudden deafness is treated in time, 80% of people can recover their hearing. Therefore, if hearing impairment is found, it should be treated early so as not to delay the best treatment time and lead to permanent deafness.
