Combined closure of septal defect + atrial septal defect

         Recently, we successfully performed interventional sealing for a patient with ventricular septal defect + atrial septal defect, and the patient has been discharged from the hospital. Li Fuhai, Department of Pediatric Internal Medicine, Qilu Hospital, Shandong University The patient was diagnosed with 8mm secondary foramen ovale defect in a local hospital and came to our hospital for interventional sealing. The patient was found to have an 8 mm secondary septal defect and a 2.5 mm post-septal septal defect, both of which were suitable for interventional closure. After comprehensive preoperative preparation, the patient successfully underwent a combined ventricular septal defect + atrial septal defect closure under local anesthesia on April 28, and the operation took 90 minutes. This is the first time that our hospital has performed a combined ventricular septal defect + atrial septal defect blocking operation.
