Recently, we successfully performed interventional sealing for a patient with ventricular septal defect + atrial septal defect, and the patient has been discharged from the hospital. The patient was found to have an 8 mm secondary septal defect and a 2.5 mm post-septal septal defect, both of which were suitable for interventional closure. After comprehensive preoperative preparation, the patient successfully underwent a combined ventricular septal defect + atrial septal defect closure under local anesthesia on April 28, and the operation took 90 minutes. This is the first time that our hospital has performed a combined ventricular septal defect + atrial septal defect blocking operation.
