Early symptoms of esophageal cancer and cardia cancer

In the early stage of esophageal cancer and cardia cancer, patients basically have no discomfort. With the development of the disease and the expansion of the tumor, patients may gradually experience abnormal sensation. At the beginning, it is not easy for patients to pay attention to such sensation because it does not affect their life and living. The esophagus is the channel for eating, so when the tumor enlarges, the first thing is to hinder eating. Once the patient feels difficulty in swallowing, most of them are already in the middle and late stage of cancer. According to the census data, the following may be the early symptoms of esophageal cancer: esophageal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in China, and more middle-aged and elderly men above 40 years old have the disease. In the early stage of this disease, because the lesion often shows local small esophageal mucosa congestion, swelling, erosion, superficial ulcer and small plaque cancer, when food is passed, there will be a feeling of swallowing discomfort or dysphagia. If the disease develops further, a feeling of obstructive choking will appear, mostly because it can be found when swallowing foods like pancakes, dry buns or other foods that are not easily chewed thoroughly. 2.Foreign body sensation in the esophagus Patients feel that they have bruised their esophagus by eating rough food, or they are suspected to have swallowed a foreign body by mistake and left it in the esophagus, and there is something like rice grains or vegetable pieces attached to the esophagus, which cannot be swallowed, and it is neither painful nor related to eating, even if they do not swallow, there is still a feeling of foreign body. The location of foreign body sensation mostly coincides with the location of esophageal cancer lesion. 3.Slow passage of food and sensation of retention There is often the self-sensation of small esophageal opening, difficulty in swallowing and retention of food. These symptoms only appear when swallowing food and disappear after eating, and they are not related to the nature of food, even when drinking water. 4, there is a sense of dryness and urgency in the throat often feel that the swallowing of food is not smooth, and there is a slight pain, a little dry, tight feeling. Especially when swallowing dry or rough food, this dry, tight feeling is more obvious. In addition, the occurrence of such early symptoms is related to mood swings. 5.There is a feeling of stuffiness and discomfort behind the sternum. One can only vaguely feel discomfort in the chest, but can neither point out the location of the discomfort nor describe the details of the discomfort. 6.Post-sternal pain This kind of manifestation is more common in early stage esophageal cancer patients. There is often a slight pain behind the sternum when swallowing food, and the pain area can be felt. The nature of pain can be burning pain, stabbing pain or pulling and rubbing pain. The severity of the pain is related to the nature of the food. When swallowing rough, hot food or irritating food, the pain is heavier; when swallowing liquid, warm food, the pain is lighter. When swallowing food, the pain is less severe and even disappears after eating. Most of these symptoms can be treated with medication and temporarily relieved, but the condition will recur after a few days or months, and it will recur and exist for a longer period of time. 7.Pain under the glabella (heart opening) Self-perceived burning-like stabbing pain under the glabella, varying in severity, mostly appearing when swallowing food, alleviating or disappearing after eating. Some of them are persistent vague pains, which are not related to eating. These signals may appear individually or in parallel. Some of the signs last for a long time, while others occur intermittently. In early stage patients, there are few patients who have no signs and symptoms at all, but the signs and symptoms are relatively insidious and can be easily ignored. The human esophagus, which is connected to the throat and the cardia, is about 25 cm long and is the main channel for people to eat. If you find any of these early signs, you should seek medical attention. If vomiting occurs, especially when frothy mucus is vomited, or when rice cannot be eaten and rice soup cannot be drunk, it is a sign that esophageal cancer has reached the middle stage. If there is dehydration, emaciation, weakness or weight loss, then it is possible that the cancer has entered the advanced stage.
