What are the clinical manifestations of viral conjunctivitis?

Viral conjunctivitis is divided into two types: acute and chronic, with acute being the most common.
Symptoms vary depending on the type of virus infected, the individual’s immune status, and the virulence of the virus. Most of the symptoms are conjunctival congestion, watery discharge, eye irritation and upper and lower eyelid sticking when waking up, usually both eyes are affected successively.
