Procedure for Mole Removal Surgery

Mole removal surgery is also called pigmented mole removal under local anesthesia, and its process includes four steps: cleaning, anesthesia, surgery and bandaging.
1. Disinfection: the doctor will ask the patient to lie on his/her back, the doctor will use iodine povidone or iodine + alcohol to disinfect the affected area in a standardized way, and then lay aseptic therapeutic towel.
2. Surgery: design the surgical incision, usually a shuttle-shaped incision, after local infiltration anesthesia, along the line of incision of the whole skin and part of the subcutaneous, bilateral reduction of the subcutaneous and skin suture in layers.
3. Dressing: erythromycin ointment can be applied externally to the surgical incision to fight infection, followed by a sterile gauze bandage to cover it.
After the operation, we should take good care of the wound, keep the wound clean and dry, do not let the skin be over-exposed to ultraviolet rays, eat a light diet, and go to the regular hospital in time if you have any discomfort.
