What to do about arrhythmias after valve replacement?

Post-valve replacement arrhythmias should first be closely monitored and medications should be taken as prescribed, with surgery required if necessary.

After valve replacement, due to anesthesia, hypothermia, ischemia-reperfusion injury and other factors, it is difficult for the heart to return to normal within a short period of time, and dynamic monitoring of electrocardiography and arterial pressure is required.

In case of malignant arrhythmia, antiarrhythmic drugs, such as lidocaine and digoxin, should be taken as prescribed.

Malignant arrhythmias with a slow heart rate can also be treated with a temporary pacemaker.

If medication is ineffective, radiofrequency ablation should also be considered, as well as radiofrequency ablation surgery if combined with atrial fibrillation.

After valve replacement, you must closely monitor your own changes, follow the doctor’s instructions for medication, and inform your doctor if there is any abnormality.
