Hearing aid maintenance should pay attention to the four aspects of moisture, corrosion, shock prevention and cleaning. Keep your hearing aid dry. Use a soft cotton cloth to dry the sweat on the surface of the hearing aid in time (especially in summer). When not in use, put the hearing aid in the dry box, the desiccant should be replaced in time when it becomes discolored. When washing your hair, bathing or swimming, you should take off your hearing aid. If your hearing aid gets wet accidentally, you should put it in the drying box to absorb it or dry it naturally. Prevent corrosion of hearing aids by battery leakage. The battery should be taken out for a long time, and the battery compartment should be opened or the battery taken out after the hearing aid is taken down at night. Do not use corrosive solution to clean the hearing aid. Prevent the hearing aid from being hit hard. The important elements in the hearing aid (microphone and receiver) are easily damaged by vibration. Do not drop the hearing aid on the concrete floor. Place the hearing aid in a safe place after taking it off to avoid children or pets from falling or biting it. Clean the ear canal and the hearing aid at least once a week with a dry cotton ball. Keep the microphone and the sound transmission channel clear, clean the earplug or the ear mold tube frequently and check whether the microphone is blocked by foreign objects. For custom hearing aids, use a small brush to remove the cerumen that is blocking the outlet of the receiver and replace the cerumen barrier if necessary.
