What are the causes of scapular protrusion in children?

Scapular protrusion in children is commonly associated with certain genetic disorders such as Marfan’s syndrome and Parsonage-Turner syndrome (acute brachial plexus neuritis). There are also congenital disorders such as congenital hypercapnia and congenital scoliosis, which can lead to abnormal bone development, resulting in the symptoms of a protruding scapula.
