What’s wrong with watery leukorrhea?

  Normal leucorrhea is a white, odorless liquid, which is secreted by the vaginal mucosa, cervical canal and endometrium, and is related to changes in estrogen in the body.  In the period of ovulation, the cervical glands secrete a lot, the leucorrhea increases, transparent and easy to pull into silk to facilitate sperm penetration, which is conducive to conception, and also before and after the period, the pelvic congestion, vaginal mucous membrane exudation increases will also lead to increased leucorrhea. This kind of leucorrhea without odor is physiological. If watery leucorrhea with odor is accompanied by vulvar itching, it is most often caused by inflammation of the reproductive tract.  Thin watery leucorrhea with fishy odor from the vagina can also be seen in cervical cancer, vaginal cancer and submucosal fibroids, so you must be vigilant. Also, grayish watery leucorrhea with vulvar itching and fishy smell can be seen in bacterial vaginosis.  Therefore, it is important to examine the abnormal leucorrhea in time and treat it according to different causes so as not to delay the disease. Keep your vulva clean and dry, avoid scratching, don’t eat cold and spicy food, change your underwear regularly and don’t wash your underwear together with other clothes to avoid cross infection. Do not have intercourse before the test and do not wash the vagina to avoid affecting the test results.
