Who is prone to cardiovascular blockage?

The risk of developing cardiovascular blockage increases with age, for both men and women. Obese, hyperlipidemic and hypertensive people are more likely to develop atherosclerotic plaques in their blood vessels and therefore have an increased incidence of cardiovascular blockage.
Diabetics and those with abnormal glucose tolerance are at increased risk of developing cardiovascular blockages. In addition, long-term smokers are more likely to develop cardiovascular blockages.
