If a patient develops a scalp laceration and has a debridement suture, and there is no local infection, along with pharmacological intervention, recovery can be complete in as early as 4 to 7 days. If the patient has a local skin infection, the first step is to actively fight the infection and clear the wound, and the recovery time is relatively longer.
