Frequent cramp-like pain in the lumbar region is due to two main reasons: First, due to trauma to the lumbar region, such as muscle strains or collisions with surrounding objects, resulting in damage to the local muscles and surrounding soft tissues. Frequent bending and lifting, excessive lumbar activity or prolonged sitting, squatting, standing, and maintaining a posture for too long may lead to muscle tissue strain, bruising and inflammatory edema in the soft tissue of the lumbar region, stimulating the surrounding muscle tissue or soft tissue, easily leading to soft tissue spasm, and when the tissue spasm will feel the pain of the lumbar region like a cramp. Second, after injury or strain and cold in the lumbar region, the muscle tissue becomes edematous and stimulates the nerves that pass through the muscles, resulting in cramp-like pain.
