Leukocyte esterase 2+

Leukocyte esterase 2+ suggests some kind of infectious disease. Leukocyte esterase is a specific enzyme in leukocytes, which is widely distributed in cells containing anilinophilic granules, such as basophils and neutrophils. When an inflammatory response occurs in the organism, the above cells will gather together to fight against the inflammatory response. When the cells die in the process of fighting against the inflammatory response, leukocyte esterase in the cells will be released in large quantities, and the test will indicate a positive leukocyte esterase. The leukocyte esterase test is commonly used in clinical practice to do urine screening tests. When the result shows leukocyte esterase 2+, it indicates the possible existence of urinary tract infection, etc. If it is accompanied by urinary urgency, frequency, painful urination and other discomfort, the patient needs to drink a lot of water with the application of quinolones, or cephalosporins and other antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor, such as ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, cefaclor and cefuroxime. If the result is simple leukocyte esterase 2+, without other clinical symptoms, consider that it may be caused by test errors, you can drink more water, urinate more often and flush the urethra, and then recheck the urinary routine. When leukocyte esterase 2+ is the result of a white blood test, bacterial vaginitis may be present. When there are no accompanying symptoms, no treatment is needed. When there is vaginal itching, change in color and odor of discharge, painful urination and frequent urination, treatment with metronidazole and other drugs can be prescribed. In daily life, you should pay attention to personal hygiene, do not share towels and bath tubs with others, and wear less tight-fitting pants.
