Treatment of pulmonary hypertension includes pharmacological and surgical treatment. Common therapeutic agents include: diuretics, warfarin, epoprostenol, bosentan, nitroglycerin and calcium antagonists; the main surgical procedures are atrial septal balloon stoma and combined heart-lung transplantation.
