Can neonatal pulmonary hypertension be cured?

Pulmonary hypertension in newborns has not quite the same effect depending on the etiology. If the primary cause is pulmonary vascular maladaptation, such as temporary pulmonary vascular hypertension due to hypoxia, after correction of hypoxia, the spastic pulmonary vessels may slowly relax and even slowly improve, which is easier to treat and most of them can be cured. If there are other causes of pulmonary hypertension in newborns, such as rare smooth muscle hyperplasia or abnormal pulmonary vascular development, or obstruction of return flow due to complex precordial disease, pulmonary hypertension is more difficult to treat and more difficult to cure. However, most of the neonatal pulmonary hypertension is due to pulmonary vascular maladaptation, so most of the neonatal pulmonary hypertension can be cured.
