Premature ejaculation is the most common of the ejaculatory disorders, with a prevalence of 35%-50% of adult men and accounting for 90% of ejaculatory disorders. The definition of premature ejaculation is diverse and controversial, but the classic definition of premature ejaculation includes the following three aspects: 1. short latency time of intravaginal ejaculation; 2. lack of control over ejaculation; 3. impact on the quality of life of the couple. In general, premature ejaculation can be defined in two ways, namely by “subjective perception” and “objective criteria”. The objective criterion is based on the actual ejaculation latency and the number of penile strokes: men who lose the ability to control ejaculation during sexual intercourse and ejaculate before or soon after penile insertion into the vagina can be defined as premature ejaculation. In fact, as of now, the definition of premature ejaculation is not completely unified, and premature ejaculation is more the intention of both sides of the sexual life is not satisfied, some even advocate the renaming of premature ejaculation as “sexual harmony disorder”. In the clinic, we often meet some young people who come to the clinic because of “fast ejaculation”, but most of these people are not premature ejaculation. The time to ejaculate is affected by various factors such as physiology, psychology and environment, for example, young people are easily excited and overexcited for the first time, ejaculation may be faster; couples reunite after a long time, sexual excitement is faster, ejaculation will also appear earlier, but with the couple living together, slowly grinding, generally will gradually return to normal. In addition, some men are influenced by pornographic novels and pornographic movies and blindly believe that they can’t do it. Even so the psychological burden is too much, excessive attention to the time of sexual intercourse, forming a vicious circle of tension, premature ejaculation, more tension, continue to premature ejaculation. In fact, most men’s intercourse time is around 6-10 minutes, some men even only 2-3 minutes, these are normal phenomena. Only those whose symptoms persist for more than six months and whose ejaculation time is less than one minute may be diagnosed as premature ejaculation.
