How long does it take to return to normal after radiotherapy

The recovery time of patients after radiotherapy is mainly related to the nature and stage of tumor, as well as patients’ individual physical condition, which should be analyzed specifically and not be generalized. Different types of tumors have different recovery periods. For breast cancer patients, the recovery period after radiotherapy is usually faster, taking about 1 month to recover. While liver cancer patients usually need about 3 months. Among them, patients with better constitution tolerate better and recover faster, while those with weaker constitution recover relatively slowly. In addition, patients with early stage tumors are more sensitive to chemotherapy drugs and often need 5-7 days to recover. In contrast, patients with advanced tumors have more difficulty in recovery and often need a long time to recover gradually, so the specific recovery time varies from person to person. It is recommended that patients should pay enough attention to radiotherapy and consult professional doctors promptly after adverse reactions occur, so that patients can recover as soon as possible.
