Are uterine cysts serious?

  Uterine cysts are supposed to be a misnomer for cervical cysts. The uterus itself hardly grows cysts, and in rare cases uterine fibroids may become cystic. What we usually call uterine cysts generally refers to cervical cysts, also called cervical nuchal cysts, or nuchal cysts for short, which are caused by chronic inflammation of the cervix. Cervical cysts are very common in women who are sexually active. A cyst is a benign lesion and therefore not a serious lesion.  In fact, strictly speaking cervical cysts are not a disease, but a pathological manifestation of cervical inflammation, due to obstruction of the glandular duct opening of the cervix for various reasons, resulting in obstructed drainage of glandular secretions and retention to form cysts. It has a lot to do with factors such as not paying good attention to personal hygiene, repeated abortions, and premature sexual activity. Therefore, the formation of cervical cysts is closely related to cervical inflammation, which is a serious condition if the cervical erosion is very serious and accompanied by high-risk HPV infection. However, small cervical cysts that are formed only due to poor metabolism of the skin surface of the cervix do not have any effect on the body and are therefore not serious. Cervical cysts can be completely removed through surgery, but they can easily recur if not taken care of after removal.
