Quality service warms the heart of “frozen” patients (Reprint)

On July 7, a special patient’s family knocked on the door of Director Xing Yan’s office in the Department of Neurology. It turned out that the patient was a “progressive” named Qu Jing, who had been diagnosed with “multiple uterine fibroids combined with adenomyoma” in a local hospital due to heavy menstrual flow for more than 10 years, and then consulted a major hospital in Beijing, where specialists recommended total hysterectomy or radiofrequency ablation of the myoglandular nodules. The specialist recommended total hysterectomy or radiofrequency ablation of myoglandular nodules. After reading about our hospital’s successful cesarean section for Yuanfang Lu, she and her parents contacted our hospital in hopes of undergoing surgery. Qu Jing is a public figure with a disability and a strong will. She began to experience facial weakness at the age of 3, and was diagnosed with “facioscapulohumeral progressive dystrophy” at the age of 12, and then gradually developed weakness in her limbs and could not walk, and could only barely hit the keyboard. While her body was “freezing”, her heart was always on fire. Under the screen name “E Dreams Fly”, she and a group of myopathy patients founded the largest folk myopathy website in China, “Wonderful Peer” website. She also joined the China Blog Culture Promotion Association and the China Federation of Cultural Volunteers ……. In 2005, she was elected as the “Moving Person of the Year in Qinhuangdao”, and in 2010, she planned and completed a trip to ten cities in the north with her parents, and wrote a 200,000-word book called “Dream Travels”. Zhang Ziqiu’s unanimous recommendation! After learning from the family’s introduction that Qu Jing was currently in a state of moderate to severe anemia, Director Xing Yan was clear that one day earlier treatment meant one day less blood loss. She immediately reported the patient’s condition to President Gao Guolan and asked the patient about her condition in detail via email, while giving Qu Jing psychological encouragement. President Gao entrusted Professor Zeyi Cao and Dr. Jianxiong An to immediately convene the medical team of our hospital for a case discussion, and initially proposed that the patient should first undergo relevant examinations in the Department of Neurology, and then determine the treatment plan based on the examination results. After Qu Jing was admitted to the neurology ward, Dr. Li Jian, as the physician in charge, checked the patient’s room in detail every day, recorded the changes in the patient’s condition, and arranged the patient’s examination efficiently and properly. In order to reduce the patient’s stress, Li Jian also tells a little joke to Qu Jing from time to time. Other doctors would also take the initiative to chat with her during room visits, explaining changes in her condition and helping to comfort her. On the second day after admission, the medical department organized a hospital-wide case discussion and finally confirmed the diagnosis of adenomyosis, which was recommended to be transferred to the obstetrics and gynecology department for interventional treatment after the anemia treatment improved. In the neurology department, Qu Jing was hospitalized for 6 days, and every day, the medical staff did their best to help this strong, brave and optimistic patient. On the second day of transfer to the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Director Yao Zhimin of the Department of Imaging gave Qu Jing a hysterosalpingogram and uterine vascular embolization treatment, which went smoothly, and then continued the treatment for six days. During this time, Qu Jing said she felt the love and help from everyone every day, and her heart was warmed at all times. In the shortage of wards, Director Yu Liqun of the Department of Gynecology prepared the best ward for her; when it was inconvenient to push her wheelchair to the toilet, the head nurse immediately found someone to help her modify the floor; in order to solve the problem of the difficulty of lifting her arms to eat in the hospital bed, the department specially prepared a dining table for her that could be lifted; what was even more valuable was that President Gao and Professor Cao often took time to visit the ward and gave her great encouragement. She was very touched by all these. On June 22, Qu Jing was finally discharged from the hospital. President Gao, Director Xing Yan, Director Yu Liqun and other medical staff were there to see her off. She once again thanked President Gao and the medical staff of the Aviation General Hospital, and presented the hospital with a banner and took a group photo with everyone. She said, “In fact, what happens every day at the hospital is closely followed by thousands of myopathy networkers.” Qu’s mother would regularly upload photos of her treatment process and some of the medical staff of the Aviation General Hospital, and everyone who looked at them was focused on praise. The patients all said, “Coming to Aviation General Hospital is the right place!” Aviation General Hospital gave Qu Jing uncompromising care, allowing this strong little snail to take off again and fly with a heart full of warmth and happiness! It is believed that this warmth will also be passed on continuously.
