Relationship between peracute rhinitis and colds

Often a patient claims to have a cold, but upon closer examination of the history, it turns out to be rhinitis. How can we distinguish rhinitis from cold in our clinic? 1, the onset of regularity: general allergic rhinitis in the sudden change of climate, hot and cold, cold air, various gases such as gasoline, gas, car exhaust, ash layer and other stimuli love sneezing, more regular period; colds do not have regularity. 2, duration: allergic rhinitis lasts a long time, and with the allergic environment of good and bad continued, sometimes light and sometimes heavy, until the disappearance of allergens; colds and flu time is short, usually 3 – 5 days on the good. 3, accompanied by different symptoms: allergic rhinitis is often accompanied by eyes, nose, ears, throat itching, memory loss, headache, etc.; colds can be seen fever, cough, general discomfort. 4, nasal secretions are different: allergic rhinitis nasal discharge is clear, watery, cold began to clear snot, but soon become thick, yellow snot. Therefore, do not take rhinitis as a general cold, and thus missed the opportunity to treat.
