2.Recovery tips
0-3 days
This period is the more obvious period of postoperative symptoms, including various uncomfortable symptoms at the wound, slight pain, swelling, tight eyelids, more secretions, and blood oozing on the first day after surgery, which are all normal. Oral antibiotics are usually required for 3 days.
Symptoms: severe swelling, slight pain in the operative area, redness of the wound, itching of the wound, bruising of the operative area, and a little blood oozing from the wound.
4-9 days
A period of rapid swelling reduction, with basically daily changes being more noticeable. Redness and bruising around the wound may appear and gradually become lighter. The wound often feels itchy, which is a sign that the wound is healing, and can be gently wiped with a sterile cotton swab moistened with saline.
Symptoms: slight swelling, wound itching, bruising in the area of the operation.
10-30 days
Continuous swelling period, generally after ten days the post-operative effect has been first seen, but because there is still swelling, so generally double eyelids are slightly larger than normal. The shape of the corners of the eyes, the degree of the day’s size and symmetry are gradually determined, and the post-operative effect can be basically assessed. After 48 hours of stitch removal, you can get water normally. Just wait quietly.
Symptoms: slight swelling, wound itching.
31-180 days
Post-operative discomfort symptoms are basically gone, and the post-operative effect is basically set. However, because the skin at the corner of the eye is thin, there can be a small red spot at the inner corner of the eye for a long time. It may take more than half a year for the red spot to disappear, during which time makeup can be applied to cover it up. You can live and eat normally.
3.Care method
0-2 days
Within 48 hours after surgery, ice compress is encouraged, a more convenient way is to use a bag of ice milk. Generally ice compress half an hour or so to rest for ten minutes, so as not to damage the skin with long time ice compress ice.
Care means: ice, gauze strips to cover the wound.
0-3 days
After surgery to ensure the safety of the premise can do more open and close eye movements, is conducive to the formation of double eyelids, can be normal use of the eyes. On the second day after the surgery, you need to go to the hospital for a follow-up consultation to change the medication, and the doctor will take off the gauze strips on the wound. Note that the wound should not be exposed to water until the stitches are removed.

Keep the surgical site wound clean and dry, and do not touch your eyes with water until the stitches are removed. However, you can use saline to clean the eyelid wound.
3-7 days
You can do localized hot compresses, but not too hot to avoid burning the skin. Appropriate hot compresses can accelerate blood flow and help reduce swelling.
Caution
0-7 days
The wound should not be wetted during this period until 48 hours after stitch removal. Try to keep the wound dry and avoid spicy and stimulating food.
8-10 days
After 48 hours after stitch removal, you can wash your face and touch water normally, and continue to avoid spicy and irritating food.
4.Risk
5-7 days Infection
The chances of infection in facial surgery are relatively low. With the aseptic operation in regular hospitals nowadays, it basically will not occur. If the surgical site appears pus symptoms after surgery suggests the possibility of infection.
Symptoms: Redness of the wound and pus in the surgical area.
Treatment: promptly go to the hospital to deal with the symptoms of infection.
30-180 days post-operative scars
The post-operative scar condition will be different for each person due to the difference of individual body type and doctor’s technique. Generally, there will be obvious redness of the wound from 1 month to 2 months after surgery, which will gradually subside from 3 months to 6 months, and gradually become less obvious after 6 months to 1 year.
Symptoms: redness of the wound, scar growth, and obvious scars.

5.Serious problem
30-90 days
Symptoms: Bilateral asymmetry of the heavy eyelid, double eyelid width too wide/too narrow, scar hyperplasia, obvious scars, the degree of bilateral eye opening does not match.
