What should I look for after a pacemaker?

1. Take your own pulse frequently. If the measured pulse is neat but lower than the pacemaker frequency informed by the doctor, it means that the pacemaker may be malfunctioning and needs to be checked by the hospital in time. 2. No MRI and other examinations should be done, and special care should be taken for some physical therapies, such as microwave therapy, ultrashort wave therapy and magnetic therapy, because electromagnetic waves or magnetic fields can interfere with the normal work of the pacemaker and thus affect the beating of the heart. If you encounter the above situation, you should tell your doctor that you have a pacemaker installed and remind him/her of it. 3.When using microwave ovens and induction stoves at home, stay away from them. 4.When making or answering cell phones, most pacemakers will suffer some interference, so use cell phones to avoid pacemakers as much as possible. If the pacemaker is installed in the left chest, then you should answer the phone with your right ear and do not put the phone in the upper left pocket of your clothes. 5. If you feel panic, dizziness or blackness when operating electrical appliances or under certain circumstances, you should immediately leave such an environment and seek consultation and examination from a cardiologist in a timely manner.
