How long does it take for a red pit to heal after a mole scab is removed?

The red pits formed after the scabbing of a mole usually take about 3-6 months to fully recover, and the exact time varies from person to person. Mole spotting, also known as mole removal, is the process of removing pigmented moles by using laser burning, chemical reagent corrosion or liquid nitrogen freezing. After a mole is spotted, the wound will be scabbed off in about 1 week, and after the scab is completely removed, a red pit will be formed, the depth of which is usually 1-3mm depending on the size and depth of the pigmented mole. the recovery time of the red pit is slow, and it takes at least 3 months or even longer to level off gradually. during the recovery process, appropriate topical drugs can be used to promote growth and shorten the recovery time. In addition, patients should note that not every kind of moles can be removed by the above-mentioned ways, only some pigmented moles with diameter less than 3mm and clear diagnosis are suitable. For other moles that are larger and have the possibility of cancer, surgical excision is recommended, and if necessary, pathological examination can be performed to further clarify whether they are cancerous.
