Notes for infertility patient visits

In order to save treatment time, improve treatment efficiency and reduce treatment costs, infertility patients must be aware of the following precautions before diagnosis and treatment, so that your diagnosis and treatment can achieve the best results. 1. Whether it is the first consultation or the follow-up consultation, you should bring all the medical records of yourself and your spouse with you every time you go to the hospital so that the doctor can understand your condition. At the first visit, please fill in your name, gender, age, place of origin, address (specific to the door number) and drug allergy history on the medical record by yourself or with the help of medical staff. If you wish, please leave your phone number during the first consultation so that the doctor can follow up and contact you. 2. For infertility patients, it is very necessary for the couple to be investigated and treated together. In most cases, infertility is the result of a combination of factors in both men and women, so the same investigation and treatment for both men and women will help to find the main cause, seize the main contradiction, solve the main problem and save treatment time and cost. 3. Female patients should remember the specific date of menstruation. The day of menstruation when blood is seen (regardless of the amount of bleeding) is the first day of the menstrual cycle, the second day is the second day of the menstrual cycle, and so on. Please try to remember and provide the Gregorian date instead of the lunar date. 4. For female reproductive endocrine hormone testing, blood is usually drawn on the 3rd day of the menstrual cycle (with exceptions in special cases), and blood is taken in the morning on an empty stomach, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and in a calm emotional and physical state. Therefore, after arriving at the hospital to pay for the test, you must take a 20-minute break to allow for emotional and physical calmness. There is no cycle selection for men, other requirements are the same as for women. 5.Tubal lavage and imaging should be performed 2 to 7 days after menstruation. After menstruation, sexual intercourse is forbidden. Ultrasound follicle monitoring usually starts from day 11 to 12 of the menstrual cycle and is performed every other day, every day or every half day until ovulation. 7.The urine test specimen for predicting ovulation before ovulation should be taken from the first discharge of urine in the early morning and brought to the hospital in a clean container for examination. 8.No intercourse (including dream emission) for 2 to 7 days before semen examination (preferably 3 to 5 days, if more than 7 days, please abstain from sex for 3 to 5 days after semen emission), if it is difficult to keep the specimen in the hospital, you can get a special sample cup to keep at home (for examination only), the specimen must be intact and not lost, and the time of keeping the specimen should be specified after keeping it, specifically to the minute. The specimen will be sent to the laboratory within 30 minutes. 9. Early pregnancy is diagnosed at about 1 week after menopause (i.e. 1 week after the expected date of menstruation) by performing a urine HCG test at the hospital or on your own. If the test is positive, you are likely to be pregnant. Please inform your doctor promptly so that you can be provided with measures to protect your pregnancy and knowledge of pregnancy care.
